Skream and Benga are currently on their world tour which has seen them pass through much of Europe and are now set to tear up Western Canada this weekend with a Sunday stop in Toronto @ Wrongbar. $20 Advance Tickets can be bought online HERE and are in stock at Play De Record and Rotate This in Toronto.
Here is a very recent set from the dynamic duo live @ FWD from June 7th, 2009.
Also, back in September of 2008 they played to an outdoor audience in Barcelona, Spain. MC LowQui is on the mic and the tunes are heavy. Ive been rinsing this mix for a couple months steady anticipating the slaughterhouse that will be Sunday night!
I’m convinced this is going to be a big, if not the biggest player off the Major Lazer EP coming out in a couple short weeks. Cop the Pre-Order bundle and you even get one of those super dope “Guns Don’t Kill People… Lazers Do” t-shirts. Anyway, Pon De Floor has got just the right balance of those strange yet catchy sounds (re: autotuned baby?) that Diplo and Switch seem to churn out time and time again… it’s fresh ‘n throaty. Got a short-caked remix from Victoria’s Ernold Sane for you too.

Ghislain Poirier has been an unmissable presence in the Montreal club scene for the better part of the last decade. Moving away from the eletro-bassbin bounce a little, Ghislain now appears to be greasing his rhythmic gears by focusing on the more percussive elements of his tracks. Now he’s got Ninja Tune slammin’ the streets with some serious Soca vibes… talk about sonic evolution. This is a mix he did on Sinden’s show on Kiss… the Major Lazer and Alison Hinds remixes smash the whole set.

I’ll have to admit at first I was a little skeptical as I saw him display one of the worst DJ sets ever a few summers ago at Club Soda in Montreal. However, he stepped it up somewhere as this mix slays harder than Buffy on crack. Shake your bon bon!
